A New York City-based violinist/violist and educator, Katie von Braun has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and on Broadway. She has performed with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Death Becomes Her Broadway, and Water for Elephants Broadway, and subbed for the American Symphony Orchestra, American Ballet Theatre, and Broadway shows Phantom of the Opera, Some Like It Hot, The Lion King and Dear Evan Hansen. She has toured as violist with Dear Evan Hansen National Tour, concertmaster with An American In Paris Second National Tour, and as an aerial flying violinist with Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular. Katie is grateful to have shared the stage with countless artists including Kelli O’Hara, Lea Salonga, Andrew Rannells, Megan Hilty, Izzy McCalla, J Harrison Ghee, Helen Shen, Kate Baldwin, Johnny Mathis, Bernadette Peters, Christopher Jackson, Norm Lewis, Brandon Uranowitz, Zachary Noah Pfizer, JoJo and BD Wong. 
 

Katie attended the University of Michigan School Of Music, Theatre and Dance for her Bachelor of Music and San Francisco Conservatory of Music for her Masters of Music. Here, she was both concertmaster of the SFCM orchestra and one of the founding members of the San Francisco-based Amaranth String Quartet. Katie spent a summer teaching music in Haiti, and has held faculty positions at Hamilton Park Montessori School, The 92nd Street Y, Opus 118 Harlem School of Music, Harmony Program, Ethical Culture Fieldston School and Blue Balloon Songwriting School.
